Thin Crust Tuna Pizza w/ Tom Yao Sprouts

One of my guilty pleasures is surfing the web for Quick and Easy Recipes (Oops yes, that's my typical search term). I'm on the look out for recipes I could try over the weekend that wouldn't consume much of the day but at the same time, it should be something different and exciting that's worthy of posting on this blog :P.

During one of my recipe hunts, I stumbled upon this thin crust recipe from ABeautifulMess. The ingredients are already available at home so I thought "Hmmm. Making pizza from scratch. I can try that". I enlisted the aid of my brother because 1.) I don't know how to operate the mixer 2.) He's the one with culinary experience and he actually made lots of pizza during his internship.

Thin Crust Recipe
Adapted from ABeautifulMess

2 cups All Purpose Flour
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
A pinch of Salt
2 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Mix your dry ingredients together (Flour, Baking Powder and Salt). Place your wet ingredients on a mixing bowl (That's water mixed with Extra Virgin Olive Oil). Combine wet and dry ingredients, employ the aid of a mixer. Add water sparingly, just enough so the mixture is incorporated together.

Once everything is mixed together, divide the dough in two balls (as shown below) then cover for 10-15 minutes to let it set.

After 15 minutes, roll the dough as thin as possible. Just be careful that you don't break the dough. It doesn't need to be a perfect circle, you can even roll it in rectangular shape (whatever floats your boat :P).

Next comes the fun part! Garnish your pizza.

Pizza Toppings
Quick melt Cheese
1 can of Tuna (Lite); drained
1/2 can of Button Mushrooms
1/2 can of Shiitake Mushrooms
Italian and Sweet Pizza Sauce; combined
Tom Yao Sprouts
Sliced Onions

Spread pizza sauce on top. Add tuna, mushrooms and onions. Top with cheese.

Bake in oven at 375°F for 15 minutes or until the crust turns brown and crispy. After baking, top with Tom Yao Sprouts.

This recipe is so versatile. You can add all kinds of toppings, mix and match whatever you want. Now go crazy and tell me what would you put on your pizza?
