Honey Garlic Chicken

I skipped two #SundayCooking posts because I was preparing for my trip, which again I feel that I am nowhere near ready. I packed and unpacked then packed again :| I wanted to bring everything with me!!! I am in awe of people who can fit everything in one suitcase. Now, don't get me started on capsule wardrobe (how is that even possible?) It seems like I have a long way to go before I become a savvy traveler (but I am learning! :P).

Squeezing in a post because who knows when I would be able to blog again (Hopefully, I would be able to sneak in a few travel posts and pictures!)

Today's recipe is Honey Garlic Chicken, you can do this with beef but I am not that confident yet with cooking beef so I'm sticking with chicken. Up to you! ;)

Honey Garlic Chicken

1/4 kilo of chicken (menudo cut)
4 cloves garlic, chopped

3 tablespoons honey
black ground pepper
toasted sesame seeds

2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
spring onion, chopped

In a pan, heat up a bit of oil, cook the garlic until fragrant. Add the honey, soy sauce and pepper. Let the mixture thicken.

Add the chicken and mix well with the sauce. Simmer for a while until the chicken is cooked and tender. Add your toasted sesame seeds. Give a good stir!

Serve hot with rice and garnish with spring onions!

That's it! Until the next update! Have a lovely week everyone and safe travels! ;)
